CharitABLE '24
International Service
What is CharitABLE '24?

CharitABLE ’24 was an international service initiative focused on raising awareness and support for the humanitarian crisis in Palestine. The project combined impactful education and emotional expression, featuring a seminar that convened Rotaractors, Interactors, and the general public to engage with experts on key issues—healthcare, education, displacement, and gender-based violence in conflict zones.
The highlight of the evening,“Patterns of Our Genocides”, was a powerful theatrical tribute to the lives lost in Palestine, leaving an emotional imprint on the audience and inspiring collective action.
Funds raised were directed to the Palestinian Embassy to ensure responsible allocation towards relief efforts, making the project both informative and impactful.
Objectives
- Raise funds and awareness for humanitarian relief in Palestine

- Promote empathy, education, and action through art and dialogue
SDG & Rotary Focus Area Alignment
Hosting a seminar on critical issues like healthcare, education, displacement, and gender-based violence it directly contributed to SDG 4 (Quality Education), specifically Target 4.7, by promoting education for global citizenship and human rights. The powerful theatrical tribute further fostered empathy and understanding, while the allocation of funds to the Palestinian Embassy directly supported Goal 1 (No Poverty), Target 1.4, by ensuring access to basic services for the vulnerable, and Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Target 3.12, by addressing health needs in emergencies. The project’s broad scope, encompassing discussions on gender-based violence, aligned with Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Target 5.2, by eliminating all forms of violence against all women and girls. Furthermore, the engagement of multiple stakeholders and the focus on collective action reinforced SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), Target 17.16, by fostering global partnerships for sustainable development. This multifaceted approach seamlessly integrates with Rotary Areas of Focus such as Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution, Basic Education and Literacy, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Economic and Community Development, and Maternal and Child Health by addressing the complex humanitarian needs arising from conflict.
